Waters of LIFE Project Manager Anne Goggin attended the launch of a ‘Blue Dot Catchments’ Booklet by Christopher O’Sullivan TD.  The event was supported by Michael Collins TD and Lord Mayor of County Cork Danny Collins.

Christopher O’Sullivan TD, in launching the publication stressed “the importance of water quality and how it underpins biodiversity as well as human well-being”.

The ‘Blue Dot Catchments Programme’ is an initiative of the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage and the Local Authorities Waters Programme (LAWPRO) to conserve or recover high quality water bodies throughout the State.

Waters of LIFE staff were delighted to attend and collaborate with State agencies, landowners and communities to develop new solutions to water conservation.
