A report on Workshops to Develop a Pilot Results-Based Payments Scheme for High Status Rivers has been published.

A core objective of the Waters of LIFE Integrated Project is to develop, and trial, a results based payments scheme (RBPS) which has a greater focus than previous RBPS on delivering for water quality in addition to climate and biodiversity.  Ultimately, the aim is that this RBPS, if successful, would strongly influence the next CAP Strategic Plan and associated AECM.

The first stage in the development of the RBPS was a series of facilitated workshops attended by specialists and key decision makers. This Final Facilitator’s Report summarises the outcome of 4 workshops on the Results-based Payment Scheme (RBAPS) held in May and June of 2023.

The project team are currently working on the development of the RBAPS and the next stage will involve consulatation with landowners and stakeholders within the Project Catchments. The report can be downloaded at the link below:
